See you again

Poet: Olasunkanmi Oso

Title: See you again

The fable preaches morals.

Clothes teach reward

Feeble knee getting stronger

For the mission is a must.

I sight the cloud.

The sky has spoken

The moon and star stare far apart

For the dearth of our table.

Thought of differences mirage our heart

Seemly we can’t

We walk the date with date

Faintly we shrug, but on

Setting our sight till it dawn

Our ear listens to it cry

Heart clings to it word

Rendered homeless with supplications

Begging tirelessly to overlook our fault

As we sold the Lot to get the salt

And see our world today clamour for a better tomorrow

This we say till we meet again.
