Now it’s gone

Poet: Oso Olasunkanmi

Title: Now it’s gone

My eyes and fish scale are now friends.

The giant has fell.

The lasting love has travelled

Through the eyes of the scissor.

Heart bade bye

For the sight am use to

All now gone

Like the settled sun

I wish to hold you for so long

Seeking permission to seek your thought

While dressed with the status quo.

Of your travail and to keep you so.

Belittled, I’m caught unware

For my love is gone

Gone beyond

now left with a crop

I love her

But she eloped through the barbershop
